Lifesaving Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC)

Course Description

Covers airway, breathing and cardiovascular emergencies: bleeding; burns; soft tissue, musculoskeletal, head and spine injuries; heat and cold emergencies; poisoning; bandaing and splinting; medical conditions, e.g. diabetes, epileptic seizures; moving and transportation; and secondary survey.

ALL levels of CPR included.

AEC builds on skills learned in SFA and applies them to aquatic environments with focus on team oriented water rescues, first aid management and lifesaving principles. Strongly recommended as first aid prerequisite for NLS.
