Aqua Zumba

Please note that there are no Aquasize classes running during Reading Week (Feb. 18-24) with the exception of Senior Fit.

Aqua Zumba is a high energy, calorie burning, easy to follow exercise moves performed in shallow water to Latin music. The music and the exercise will keep you coming back for more. Get energized! Registration required for free classes. No Drop-ins for free classes. Sign-up for a session while space is left.

Deep Water Aquasize

Use of a floatation belt and noodle provides a superior and challenging non-impact water workout. Improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, and flexibility without stressing your joints. Great for injury or joint rehabilitation, cross training, back problems, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and pre/postnatal. Those attending should be comfortable in deep water.

Participants must wear a wristband, given at the Front Desk, for this class

Fit 4 Two Aquacize

Exercising in the water is refreshing and rejuvenating! With water supporting your growing uterus, you will experince improved circulationand the feeling of 'weightlessness'.Buoyancy also allows you to exercise on your backwithout restricting oxygen flow to you and your baby. Each class includes cardio, strength training and flexibility. All Fit 4 two instructors are certified Pre and Post natal fitness specialistsand follow the guidelines of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC)

Please note: Because we care about you and your baby, a Par-Med-X for Pregnancy Form must be signed by your healthcare provider (physician or midwife) prior to your participating in this class. Go to www.fit4two.ca to download a copy of this form.

Shallow Aquasize

Exercises performed in chest depth water. Give yourself a total workout with little impact and joint stress. Intensity is moderate to vigorous and appropriate for all levels. Class includes muscular strength and endurance, core stability, range of motion, flexibility, postural and cardiovascular movements.

Swim Fit

Improve swimming skill, ability and endurance through distance swimming, stroke correction and interval training. Must be able to swim 100m continuously and at least 2 of the following strokes: front crawl, back stroke or butterfly. This program is great for the recreational swimmer who would like to improve strength, endurance and cardiovascular conditioning.This program is by registration only.
